Sending supplemental documents to CA BRN

U.S.A. California

Published

About 2 weeks ago I sent in my application to the California BRN which included documentation on a prior conviction I have on my record. I recently got a notice in the mail that indicates my conviction has been expunged and I would like to send it to the board as part of my proof of rehabilitation. My question is, should I just send it in to the BRN and expect them to match it up with my application? I don't want it to get lost and I wouldn't want the board to miss my letter of expungement when they are making a decision on my applicaion. I've tried calling them for the past 3 days but cannot get a hold of them.

Try calling them FIRST thing in the morning... call before they even open and just remain on hold. I believe they open at 8am so call at 0750 and press '0.' This worked for me after trying 3 previous times and holding for over an hour! Otherwise, not sure where you live but you can always go to the BRN office and personally deliver your letter to them. The lady in front is very helpful and nice! Good luck :)

Best way to ensure BON receive your stuff is to deliver it in person.
