Relocating to Southern California!

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi I am currently in the process of relocating to Southern California. I am currently a RN and I will most likely be working in Orange County (Fountain Valley), but I was trying to find some information with apartments. I noticed that Fountain Valley is about 45 min give or take from LA. Although I would really love to live in LA i really would not want to make that commute back and forth everyday for work. So I was wondering if there were any nice areas that were between the two that I would be able to look into. Any responses would be great. Please keep rude and sarcastic comments to yourselves. Seeking real advice. Thanks!

Huntington Beach is nice.

LA isn't so far in terms of distance, it's just far in terms of traffic. The freeways get clogged and you will be extremely frazzled. I didnt think commuting had an adverse effect on me, but it does.

Please consider that and when you do a google search, look at the *walkability* of a neighborhood, that also gives you a clue of how nice the neighborhood is. Also, note the type of businesses around, alot of fast food restaurants? Probably a dicey area.

You might want to live in Fountain Valley - if you choose a place too far, you will hate your life because of the commute.

Within the LA County, Long Beach, Seal Beach, Cerritos to name a few. It depends which freeways you want to take.
