National University LVN-to-BSN 2015 cohort 7

U.S.A. California

Hello, I've recently applied to National to their LVN bridge program, still waiting on the date for TEAS and the essay. But I still have a lot of classes to do with their recent changes :-( which is frustrating, they just changed on us at the last minute. My advisor is not the smartest one either, she keeps forgetting what program I'm going for:-)

And I don't know anyone else who applied to the same cohort, anybody out there just as lucky?:-)

I'm on the alternate list. Does anybody know how many alternates they take in? Or do they email alternates if they get it if others drop? What are my chances of being accepted. There's still one more month before orientation and before I find out if anyone drops.

I actually know 2 people, if accepted, will decline their acceptance. They both have higher scores than me so more likely they did. Your chances are high, keep your head up. When I asked JJ he said 3.

I'm in as well! what a great early Christmas present!

How is everyone covering the $2500 orientation fee? Last I heard it was about that amount. Did it change?

Last I heard its around that amount. I'm just going to pay it out of pocket

I'm accepted, I'm declining...due to some personal reasons. So I hope you guys ("the alternates") will get in. Good luck to you all!

Alinkastar! I got in and I wanted to message you but I'm on vacation! Ahhh wish we could have studied together.

Yea, honeymcbadger, that would've been nice :-) But what can you do, life came in the way when no one expected :-) I wish you all the best, I'm sure you'll become a great RN. Have a nice vacation! By the way, I watched a documentary on honey badgers some time ago, they are amazingly smart, tough and stubborn little things :-)

I've decided to post my scores for future applicants. I remember comparing my scores to those who have posted somewhere else in the forum. I hope it'll bring ease to future nursing students =)

3.9 GPA in science pre reqs

75 TEAS score

3.2/5 Essay

No retake of classes

I'm not sure how the scores are broken down now because I hear different things. Hope this helps and good luck!

Honeymcbadger did you overall GPA count any? What was it if you dont mind me asking!

I don't mind at all! Your overall GPA has to be above 2.0 in order to apply or for the nursing department to consider your application.
