Hi everyone. I applied for a position with LA county for the sheriff's department, went through interview, background check, and medical. It's now been almost 3 months since I received my medical clearance letter, but I still haven't heard from them regarding orientation, and I'm getting a bit worried. Anyone else applied to LA county? How long does it take for you after medical to get in? Thank you.

Not a nurse but am attending nursing school. I don't work for the county of Los Angeles but I do work for the state of california as a Psych Tech and when I applied for the job, I did my interview in April and got hired in October; so it took 6 months for everything to be finalized. I am guessing due to the bureaucracy of public entities, the hiring process is longer than for private businesses; so hang in there. Hope that helps somewhat
