this is the original thread where i found the info...
this is a link on the bvnpt site that lists providers www.bvnpt.ca.gov/education/schools/iv_providers.shtml you can also find them by doing an internet search. i recommend the nurse education workshops, inc. course in san jose because it is well taught and reasonable in price. they include the blood withdrawal portion at the end of the course if you want it.
try this...its for LVNs but she's the one Ive contacted and said RNs also take her course...its $260 (IV therapy) and $60 (bld withdrawal). Dont know if she has a combo course...and they will have 3 classes for IVT this july...

I also found this site, but they havent returned my calls and email...its also in sac, and again, its for LVNs
if you can find other places, please share it. are you a reg nurse? coz Im an RN but a foreign grad and my IV therapy training is not applicable here (even though Ive started hundreds of IVs and BTs). They told me RN grads here have a 2 week course when they are still in school. just curious, just wondering if there is anybody in sac who's on the same boat as i am...:)

Thank you!!:)
I took the class at the same site listed above, this past October. The LVNs received their certificates in class, but as an RN I am still waiting for mine to come in the mail. I just recently sent the owner/instructor an email regarding this. I hope this is just an oversight and will be rectified soon. Hands-on portion was on last day of class only, lots of reading of powerpoint slides by instructor for presentation, but overall was a good class, especially since there are no others to be found in our area that I am aware of!

I've been hoping to get IV certified, unfortunately, I can't seem to find classes for it here in Sacramento. Anybody knows anything, Id appreciate it. Thanks!
