Inland Empire So Cal: new grad to ICU?

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi, all. I plan to sit for NCLEX-RN in Nov. and wanted to some info on employment prospectives. I want to go into ICU in a preferrably large teaching university hospital. I live in Riverside. There is Kaiser med center and Corona regional medical center nearby. There is also Riverside comm hospital, SB comm hospital, Loma Linda university med center, and VA hospital (even though I don't know where exactly it is). I really don't want to commute to San Bernardino but it seems that all the major medical centers are there. Is anyone working in any of these facilities and know of any new grad to ICU program??? I'm an Excelsior graduate and heard that Kaiser is not accepting any Excelsior graduates. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Riverside Community takes new grads to ICU and so does Loma Linda..or at least they did a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the info, SandyB. :)
