Hi all,

I have applied at CSUSM for Spring 2013 Cohort, I am currently taking my last chem lab. I pray and hope that I get accepted. Please share your stories and progress....Thanks.

Congrats SDBella82! I thought we were going to have combined orientations too :/ but maybe we'll all meet together when school begins? Also no one has started a Facebook page yet... anyone wanna give it a go?

As far as I know there is unfortunately no overlap, common meetings or classes between different cohorts (including between campuses)... unless maybe later in clinicals, but I think placement is really random and spread out. Maybe someone else further along can comment?

If you already applied or are in a current cohort you know that there is now a brand new Temecula cohort added that will begin each Summer. So there is still only one new ABSN cohort per year at the San Marcos campus, but there will be three cohorts starting per year at the Temecula campus. This is great news for new applicants as there will be something like 44 more openings this year or a total of about 176 new ABSN students per year at CSUSM.

Congrats to all who are starting this Spring! It is a worthy goal and a great adventure in my opinion. I hope to meet you all at some point or another.

Hi Everyone,

I just got my acceptance email to Temecula this week but won't be able to make it to the orientation. I sent in my email saying I can't attend. I'm assuming I'll get the orientation info but if not, I hope someone wouldn't mind sharing some of the info with me.

I went to school at UC Davis and am still living in Davis. I'm going to have to start looking for a place to live in or around Temecula but being in Davis makes it hard. I've read that living in Temecula should be less expensive so I think I'll prefer living there, closer to the Temecula campus (though I wish there was a library at Temecula).

We should definitely make a spring 2013 FB, what cohort would we be though?

WHATT! I went to UC Davis tooo :] I just moved back to the bay area in july :] I will gladly share info with you. But the email says the orientation is mandatory so maybe you will have to attend one later on before school starts? I dont know.

We are COHORT 15! I tried making a group but it says I have to add at least one friend in order to start it. SOMEONE PM ME :]

Congrats SDBella82!!! I'll also be at the San Marcos campus. I'm really excited for the orientation on Monday to meet everyone! I don't think anyone has started a FB page yet for our cohort. San Marcos campus is Cohort 14 right?

aw man, that would've been nice though if both cohorts were together.

I'm gonna have to wake up super early tomorrow in order to get to the campus since I live about 1-2 hrs away. Can't wait to meet everyone! :)

I'm staying with my younger sister at uci so I'll be up early too! Does that mean you will be commuting once school starts?

Oh cool! At least UCI will be closer than driving from up north. Not sure if I'll be commuting... I might if it ends up being that way (but just for the 1st semester). I'm started to look at apartments around the area though so we'll see what happens!

@ ABSN2be I live in San diego too, Mission Valley/Kearny Mesa Area. I looking forward to meeting all of you on Monday. Yes, you are right San Marcos campus is Cohort 14. Ok. I will give it a go for San Marcos Cohort. PM me your facebook user name and I will start the group. FB cannot let me start a group with no members. I will name it "CSUSM ABSN SAN MARCOS COHORT 14" what do you think?

I looked at some apartments in the area today after orientation. The pricing range doesnt seem bad at all! I met 2 girls from our cohort so I will be living with **** and *****. I'm Dawn by the way. I'm not sure if we bumped into each other at orientation haha

I don't think we met :( we might've bumped into one another during the ice breaker though. I'm Sarah :) nice to meet you!
