So I'm in pre nursing at Stan and in my second year of pre-reqs. This semester I'm not taking any pre-reqs because I got screwed with my registration. Sophomores get to choose classes last. Still need to take A & P, and microbio. Planning on taking them during summer and fall. I didn't get into the second chem class here (just under a B) :( but I was wondering what other options I could do? Since I've seen people from MJC post they got accepted here, how did you guys go about doing your pre-reqs? I asked the Chem teacher if there was something else I could do but she said there is no substitute for that class and that I should major in something else and do an accelerated program.. So please give me some advice! I really hope that I don't have to change my career choice because I really want to be a nurse!! Thanks, Shelby

I would take classes at MJC...I recently transferred from MJC to Stan State. I believe you can be concurrently enrolled at both MJC and Stan State. I got a little discouraged too this past semester because I applied and didn't get in...but everyone in a nursing program tells me to keep trying because it is so worth it!! I guess I have to be patient. Good luck!!

Take chem 143/144 @ MJC
