I want to know which school offers a better nursing program. What are the good and bad points in each programs of these schools. I want to hear comparisons of the programs they offer based on their administrator's management, quality of instructor's teachings, and the overall experience.

I am already accepted for Chabot's ADN program but I found out today that I am provisionally accepted in Merritt College. I will be having my first orientation at Chabot next week and for Merritt, I have until July to send in my Teas score. Any advice or tips for me? Which school is better in terms of quality of education, instructors, and curriculum?

I'm in the same boat as you are. I already accepted Chabot and I am also scheduled for the orientation on the 24th. I asked a professor of mine for his opinion since he had thought at both schools before, and he said that the programs are very similar to each other. They both have some good and bad points. That didn't really helped at all haha. Then he asked me where I live, since I live in Oakland, he said Merritt would probably be better. Plus, Merritt right now has a new construction going on. They are building a new health science building which would open on May 2015... which means a newer learning facility.

I don't know much about the nursing program at Merritt, but I had taken my prereqs at Merritt. My professors for the prereqs were all good. I like the instructors.

I am still choosing between the two. I will send my teas score at Merritt to see how that goes. and I will still attend the orientation at Chabot on the 24th so I guess I'll see you there :)

Really? I keep seeing mixed reviews about Merritt online. Same with Chabot. I guess the experience is all different for each person. I live far away from both so location isn't a factor to my decision. I'm still deciding if I should pay to send my Teas score at Merritt. Anyway, I hope to see you there on the 24th!

Did you all decided Chabot v.s Merrit? I'm a Chabot grad, the program isn't easy but I haven't heard much good stuff about Merritt
