Hi Courtcatt,
I don't really know much about stan states nursing program other than the fact that it is a 3 year bachelor program and they go by mostly grades to get in. I do know a lot about MJC's nursing program, I have applied to their lottery based program 4 times and will reapply again in May. They have around 600 applicants and they only accept around 60-65 per semester. Some people get lucky and get in on their first try. MJC is a good school and they have a pretty high nclex pass rate. I heard the program isn't really hard, it is just time consuming and a lot of studying. My friend is finishing up her third semester right now and she loves it!
I go to Stanislaus... just finishing up my 3rd semester in their nursing program. We usually have 2 days of classes, and a day of clinicals in the hospital... just depends on the semester. If you have any questions - let me know :)
I tried to get into MJCs program 4 times also - what a rollercoaster that was! All that hard work just to be thrown into a lottery. I wish I'd tried Stanislaus earlier
Christy,
thanks so much for the response! You live in Patterson too? That's awesome.. There's not too much to do out here. Yah I'm going to apply to MJC if I don't get into Stan. I really hope I get in. Did u get in your first try? If you don't mind me asking what were ur grades/teas scores like?
