Hi there. I, too, am applying to FSU for the fall 2010 as my 3rd choice school.

I hear that 3.6+ was the cut off GPA, but that changed in the spring to 3.7+. I am not sure how many students they accept, but I know they base you off solely on GPA and maybe TEAS. At least there are no supplementary criteria unlike other schools.

Specializes in ICU.

If I'm understanding you right, you mean that you have no prior coursework and so you're applying to the university as a pre-nursing major? If so....

If you get into the university, you will do your lower division GE along with the 8 prerequisites for the nursing program. This can take 1.5-3 years depending on how many classes you take each semester.

THEN you'll applying to the nursing program, and be considered a Nursing major. They accept around 60 students each semester into the Nursing program. The GPA averages vary because they just take the top 60 people that apply. So one semester a whole lot of people who have 4.0's might apply, and the average GPA for admission could be 3.75. But then another semester the average might be 3.5. It just depends.

Hope this helps!
