  1. so if you wanted to get your bsn and msn then theres no schools that you can transfer your credits too???
  2. I want to go there so bad because it is not a huge competition for straight A's. im a solid B student and i push myself sooo hard. i know for a fact that i will not make it into those nursing programs at cal states after i complete the prerequsities there. its a huge annoying point system. i mean with west coast all you have to do is pass your hard classes and pass the exam at the end and you graduate. it sounds awsome to me because there is no waiting list on classes and maybe you'll get in and maybe you won't lets just see.. maybe your classes will transfer to other nursing programs of your choice or maybe they wont. all that stuff is soooo stressfull in my opinion. and yess paying back loans for a couple years sounds like a pretty good trade off for all that stress and crying. i know that im kind of ignorant towards it all and you guys probably have better insight than me so thank you for all of your feedback. im not dedicated to the school im just keeping it a high option for now
  3. my heart is set on going there and i don't care about paying back the loans i just wana make sure i can actually get them.
  4. cant you just take out loans to go there???? it takes forever to get a BSN at a state school and you are competing with all these other people for spots and you need like straight A's in pre req's. I'd rather go to WCU where you just have to pass your classes and you get you BSN
  5. hi everyone,i am interested in going to WCU once i graduate from highschool in June. I definately do not have 116k. my mother is on welfare and my dad is out of the picture and nobody in my family has good credit. do you think i can still go there if i get a part time job, with financial aid, and any loans i can possibly get? i really really do not want to go to a cc and i got into a couple cal state schools but it will take soooo long to get a bsn there. i really want to go to this school so i hoping i can somehow get money to afford it. any information would be greatly appreciated thanks.
  6. hi i know it has been awhile since this has been posted but i am interest in going to WCU once i graduate from highschool in June. I definately do not have 116k. my mother is on welfare and my dad is no where to be found and nobody in my family has good credit. do you think i can still go there if i get a part time job, with financial aid, and any loans i can possibly get? i really really do not want to go to a cc and i got into a couple cal state schools but it will take soooo long to get a bsn there. any info would be greatly appreciated
  7. I aplied to many Cal State Schools as a first time freshman, such as, Somona,SanMarcos, Fullerton and Los Angeles. I did not check Pre-nursing as my major though. Every single one was impacted and i knew i wouldn't have gotten in if I had checked. My question is, Can I still take the pre-requisites once i get there in my first semester? will they all be filled? which college would be the best to get my RN, or at least the most prerequisites done so i could apply to other nursing schools? thanks in advance!
  8. thank you! do you know if you have to declare pre nursing as your major to take pre req courses? or can you just apply as undecided and sign up for classes?
  9. THANKS! do you mind sharing what state school you went to? and do you have to declare pre nursing as your major when your applying? or can you just sign up for the gE & pre req courses that will go toward your nursing major after being accepted with major undeclared? thanks in advance.
  10. hi, im applying for the fall 2010 pre nursing program. i was wondering if you could help me out with a couple questions... Is it hard to get into? HOW MANY STUDENTS DO THEY ACCEPT into the program? its just the prerequisite courses right? then you have to apply to the real nursing program? help on any of these questions would be greatly appreciated. thanks
  11. thanks for the reply. do you or anyone else know of a junior college in california thats not impacted. Meaning ill be able to get my pre and co requisites no problem?!
  12. Hi im going to college next year and i want to go to a cal state because of the over crowding of junior colleges. My question is, do you only take the required prerequisite classes for the RN program when its your first year at a cal state right out of highschool. Like do you have to take general ed???
  13. Is it harder to get the classes you want at CC? I talked to a nurse the other day and she said at chaffey she waited 2 and a half years to get into anatomy. I'm trying to get my prerequisites and GE done in the minimum amount of time. I may want to go to a cal state to do my prerequisites and GE then transfer to an adn program to avoid overcrowding and my time factor.ANY ADVICE OR SUGGESTIONS?
