Any Experience With Forced Blood Draws Requested By Cops?

I work in a rural ED which has an agreement with local law enforcement to perform blood draws on suspected drunk drivers. On occasion, patients refuse to sign consent and/or refuse to cooperate with the draw. Hospital policy and the agreement between the hospital and law enforcement agencies specifically permit forced draws on nonconsenting, restrained patients. Additionally, the California MVC specifically permits forced draws and provides civil and criminal immunity. I'm wondering, however, if a nurse's license could still be sanctioned by the BRN.

California nurses only, please: What has been your personal experience with forced blood draws and/or what specific knowledge do you have regarding the CA BRN's view of such activities by California RNs?
