burn unit

I used to float to the adult burn unit at a toledo hospital in the late 80s and early 90s. I worked on a BMT unit. I am interveiwing tomarrow for peds burn. Does anyone have any tips or decent questions I need to ask? I have been a nurse for 16 years and when I rotated they always gave me the easy burn patients......

any thoughts are appreciated.

The biggest thing I have found in working with the Peds pts is the relationship with the parents. A lot of what we see in peds is due to neglect or abuse, so dealing with the parnets and there guilt is just as hard as dealing with the little ones. Not a pretty situation on either end. I always try to do what is best for the little one, though it might not be popular with the parents/family
