UAMS- summer 2010

Looks like the UAMS deadline is fast approaching, looking to see who all waiting to find out status for starting the BSN program summer 2010. Good luck to all awaiting.

probably no way of knowing the gpa until you are in class and overhear someone saying what theirs was :)

my gpa isn't that great because of stuff i did 10 years ago. i've made A's in all of the "take these courses if you already have a BS" classes and have an MS with a 3.5 unfortunately i don't think they care what your trend is... just the overall gpa--which mine is around a 3 probably.

At this point im thinking anything below a 3.0 isnt going to be good enough. I wish they would just let us know already, all this waiting is making me super nervous! Im going to apply to UALR too just to be sure.

"The first round of BSN Acceptance Letters will be mailed Friday, March 5, 2010. The next round of notification letters will be sent after Monday, March 22, 2010."

I have a friend who did receive her letter on today. Many of us still waiting on Monday's mail run.

not really sure of her GPA above a 3.2 I'm sure. Also another friend who lives near her with a 3.9 who hasn't heard anything just yet.

I agree "don't stress it too much" it's still really early to stress the acceptances. Now after Wednesday I'll be loosing my mind waiting on filler spots if it comes to that. But for now HAPPY THOUGHTS!!!

haha no...sadly i have a little over a 3.0 so im worried that im going to be one of the people where it comes down to the wire. My friend just called me and she got her letter and got in. She only has a 3.1 so im kinda freaking out. Do yall know if they do it in rounds? Like wait and see who accepts and then fill in spots from there?

I'm sure its just the mail service holding us up. If they took a 3.1 they'll take both of us. 20 bucks says they take a 2.5. Ill collect my winnings during orientation ;)

seriously. there are a couple things going for us. I know they have a class size of ~170. last year they definitely took down to a 2.5. they don't allow you to apply with anything below that... if the trend was that all 170 had above 3.0 every year.. why put 2.5 on the application. If 170 people get in that all have above a 3.0. I want to know where they came from!

yes, i'm sure that's what they do. I've heard you have a very short time to respond and hold your seat, so that's probably why the next letters go out the 22nd.
