Quick question...or 2. Does anyone know if NAU accepts retake classes and retake hesi a2 scores? I retook a psy 101 a while back for a better score and retook my hesi a2 to do the same. Haha stupid thing is I got the better grade for my psy class but tested 1 point lower the second time for my hesi. So can I give them my original hesi scores and my 2nd grade for psy? Thanks for any input ahead of time!!! Also anyone attending the February 3 (2015) application session held at GCC?

I was told, although I don't see any info on it anywhere on the nursing site, that NAU CEP does accept retakes..and I'm pretty sure ASU used to not accept and they now do..although that's not what you asked if someone else sees it's good information to have! And as far as the HESI, the impression I've been given from advisement and peers alike is whatever copy you attach to your application is what they use as reference for acceptance.

Thank you for the help. I heard the same about ASU. I am hoping NAU does! Well I took my first hesi exam in Jan 2013. Reading/vocab/grammar score was a 84%. One point too low to apply. So I retook it in March of 2014. Scored an 83%! But then they changed the scoring in November of 2014 to an 80% so my hesi was accepted. Hopefully I can use the better hesi. But then again don't they only last 2 yrs?

Yes unfortunately :( The nursing packet says your hesi scores must be from within 24 months of application. Hopefully you get a concrete answer as far as retake classes soon!
