Just wondering if there is anyone else out there who will be applying to Shelton. Has anyone heard about their program and how competitive it is. I will be applying with 195 points. Hope this enough to get in. Also applying to Jeff State but I really want to go to Shelton. Would really like to hear from other hopefuls.

Meeee! Also applying to BSCC. I dont think i will have near as many points as you. I got a 70% on the TEAS and plan on taking it again.

Hello NSM2012. Have you heard anything about Sheltons nursing program? I don't know anyone that has went there so never heard anything about them. I did have someone tell that they heard it was hard and that the instructors were very harsh. I know its not going to be easy so I am trying to prepare myself now for it. I have finished all my pre-reqs so I am just waiting for the Fall. I plan on enjoying this Summer with my kids because I don't know where I will be next Summer. (Hopefully in nursing school still :nailbiting:) Good luck on the retaking of your Teas. Have you scheduled a new date?

I not really heard anything bad about the program really. Mostly that it's hard to get into. A couple of people I know that has graduated say that its a good program. I really need to do well on this TEAS. I'm shooting for at least 115 pts. I plan on taking Micro this summer so wish me luck! Taking the TEAS at the end of April.

Yes I applied today I have 206 points if I calculated correctly..I heard that around 176 was the magic number last Fall. I do know that acceptance letters will be out by the 26th of July. I have 3 friends that graduated from Shelton's nursing program; and 1 wrapping up her 1st semester now as I type. I have only heard good things they are tough but a good nursing program non the less Good Luck to all! í ½í¸Ž

Thank you good luck to you as well. I'm retaking the TEAS on May 18th. I'm shooting for 115-120 points. You have a good number of points! I won't have micro. I'm taking that this summer. I really hope that doesn't hurt me. I'm praying and claiming my spot though.

Good luck nsm2012 on your upcoming test. I went to the nursing informational meeting yesterday and while I was there turned in my transcript verification form. The meeting was pretty much of everything they have on the internet about the program. I really want to go to Shelton but I think I am going to have a problem with getting to clinicals on time. I have two little ones and schools and daycares don't open til 6. I am also applying to Jeff State and there clinicals start between 8 and 8:30. Jeff States deadline is the 12th of this month, so I guess if I don't get in there then I will decide what I will do about Shelton. I am still going to apply so I guess we will see. Good luck to everyone applying. These next two months are going to go by so slow since we are waiting.

Took the TEAS today. I applied with 178 points.. feeling okay. Just wish I had micro for all the extra points. Now the waiting begins!!! Good luck guys! I wish we had more feedback from others

I'm applying too and I applied to both the LPN and RN program. I'm nervous because I only have 130 something points from my calculations but I am going to call and see what my points are tomorrow. I have 160 something for the LPN so hopefully I get into one. Lord willing I will. Really disappointed I didn't have Microbiology to figure in...the wait is killing me!!!
