by Annie2005 Jan 28, '08So I was supposed to have my interview with this agency last friday, but I had a flat tire when I was gonna leave, called them and now I have the interview today at 1pm - I'm nervous though because I really need a job and to start working. I have been having such a hard time getting another job - not that much all of a sudden out there for me.
It's with Ally Staffing and I hope that it goes well. I really hope I can start working or something by the end of this week and I don't want my desperation to get the better of me and go with this agency just because I need a job. How can I fool them into thinking that I am not as desperate as I actually am, I don't want them to promise me the world just so I work for them and then it sucks or I never get a shift?

- Jan 28, '08 by suzanne4Please be aware that signing with an agency does not guarantee you any shifts. They still need to sell you to the facility that they will place you at, and the facility needs to accept you.
Without a facility accepting you, then there will be no shifts. This is what many fail to understand.
Best of luck to you, and be aware that you will have hours of paperwork to fill out at the office if they accept you. - Jan 28, '08 by Annie2005I just got back from my interview. And yes it a lot of paperwork and I have to take some online skills tests and go for a TB and drug test. She said that they are pretty desperate for LPN's right now and said that if I get everything in order by the end of the week she can have me starting rather quickly. I do understand that I am not gaunteed shifts and I'm going to be going with another agency if this happens, I'm also looking for permanent placement still. Thank you
