Visascreen renewal: License verification from CNO (as RPN) needed for CGFNS submission?

I am a RN in Philippines and have an active RN license in America. i have kept it active all these years (since 2007) just in case opportunities like now (I got a job offer in U.S.). What I didn't anticipate is the amount of work I'll have to do for letting my visa screen expire since 2012. I now just applied for a new visa screen. I am in the process of requesting verification of education and also verification of license in Philippines.

I am in Canada and have recently got my citizenship a few days ago. I am aiming to get a TN Visa since I have a job offer in U.S. a couple of weeks ago. I am not a RN here but I am a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN). I mentioned in my visascreen application that I am licensed in Canada as RPN and they included it in one of the requirements to get a verification of licensure.

I know how to go about it from Philippines. But I am not sure if it's the same here in Canada (Ontario). I am guessing I will submit it to the College of Nurses of Ontario? Is it even necessary to get a verification for a RPN license here when the job I got in U.S. is RN? What other documents should I give to CNO with the request?

I know Canada has different policies and rules that's why I do not assume it is as simple as getting a verification from PRC.

Does anyone know if this is a common request done with CNO?

Any tips or advise would be helpful. The hospital in U.S. is waiting for me to complete the TN visa processing so I am trying to finish this process in less time as possible.

I am sure the college has done this before as nurses do move around. Yes if you have a license and declared it you need to go through the verification process
