ielts before crne in toronto?

im a foreign graduate, currently here in canada and planning to take the crne..is it a requirement to pass the ielts first in toronto? :confused:

You will not be given eligibility to write the CRNE until and unless you meet all the other requirements for registration in Canada and that includes IELTS. So yes, you will need to present proof of your passing IELTS scores.

ah ok..thanks for the info..what about if i have my immigrant visa/citizenship..do i still need IELTS even if im a foreign grad.?:confused:

Immigrant visa/citizenship and language fluency have nothing to do with one another. There are MANY immigrants with permanent residency or citizenship who do not speak or understand either English or French and require the services of an interpreter for everything.

What does the CNO say?

In a nutshell, you must have a minimum IELTS band score of 6.5 in written and 7 in spoken to be considered for registration, or a passing score on any of a number of similar tests.

And before I forget, if you aren't really comfortable with the English language, you will have a great deal of difficulty passing the CRNE. The language used in the exam is at the university level.

i am an IEN applied for PR in toronto

i wrote my IELETS and scored all 7 except 6 in writing i was wondering if i am eligible for CRNE in toronto i called in alberta they say its accebtable but how about toronto

i wrote a mail to CNO also but no reply even the website are also very confusing

please if anybody can help me in that

Only the college can say whether they will accept it or not

that means what alberta has said is correct and i dont have to right it again because they said that they are more concerned about speaking 7 which i have

Each college will have their own requirements regarding the English exam and I have had a quick look at CNO website it doesn't indicate what their requirements are. They are the only ones that can say whether they will accept what you have or not.

also to be clear it is write not right
