Hi,

Recently got my RN license in Texas. I am foreign graduate.There was a gap in my Nursing career due to my personal commitments.I applied for the jobs in Dallas,Texas.

They are asking for the work experience in USA. So I am looking for Internship programs , Refresher course and any other program to gain clinical experience.

Even for Internship program, they are asking for the GPA 3 or higher. In our educational system, we didn't heard of GPA. I don't know , what I have to study to get my GPA 3, So that I can Join Internship program to gain clinical experience.

Thanks in Advance

GPA = Grade Point Average

A GPA is not something that you can go out and obtain. It is the average grade of all of your degree studies. Perhaps knowing that, you can find an equivalent in your country of origin?

Thanks for the Reply.

I do have a certificate called "OFFICIAl TRANSCRIPT" from my university. It have the information of my 4 yr marks. Will it help the Internship program providing hospital to calculate my grade points.

Maybe there's an outside US educational agency that can re-figure your transcripts grades into the US equivalent or as suggested, find what your own country's school agency can figure out.

Thanks. I will check that out.
