Hi all... Glad I found this site! I have a few questions about studying abroad in St Kitts at Internation University of Nursing (Robert Ross)

Can you get a job with this degree in canada? I live in toronto... It is an Associates degree from 1 yr in the carribean and 1 yr in the states. Has anyone done it?

Thanks

Hey, I got a question. I just applied for the Spring '08 term at IUON and I was wondering, What questions do they ask during the phone interview? Also, since I applied this early, will they interview me sometime during the fall term or could it be in winter as well? I appreciate any help. thanks.

Hi there i just got accepted to spring quarter as well. i was wondering if there is a place that you know of to research people looking for roomates on the island. thanks and see you there i guess! :)

Actually, I'm not going anymore because a few of my plans changed. In regard to your question, you should receive an information packet from them soon and all of the housing information will be in there. However, basically, you will just need to send an email to the IUON director of admissions telling him your interested in finding a roommate and he will connect you with someone else who is also interested in a roommate. Anyway, good luck and hope you enjoy it. Just wondering, are you enrolled in the ADN or BSN program?

i'm going for the bsn program and if anyone has any suggestions or information or just a comment about life there it would be ggreatly appreaciated.

i am goin in spring 08 just wondering if you would like to chat sometime. ??

I'm midway through the application process and have a few questions. First, their website says tuition will be roughly 6 grand a semester. How much more to that would you tack on for actual living expenses? Also, did you find their program challenging enough that you feel prepared for entering the field, or is it just a diploma on the wall? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Besides the tuition you're going to be need about 5k per semester for rent and food. The program is very difficult and if you don't put the time in every day it is very easy to fall behind and fail. Half of the people I started with ended up droping out or failing out. I felt very prepared in my studies and in clinicals. I passed the boards on the first try and I am currently working in the ICU in a new grad training program. Let me know if you need more information with anything about the island or transportation or where to eat.
