I am a BsN graduate from the PH, I took the training program for careworkers or nursing assistant in japan held by the ministry of health of Japan 4 years ago, my visa by that time is under a trainee visa valid for 3 years and it was a 3 years course of intense japanese language training and preparation for the licensure exam in japanese language, after the 3 years course we have to take the licensure exam for nursing assistant in japanese and japanese fluency exam if you failed to pass the exam your visa will not be extended or change and force you to go home, luckily i was one of the few people who passed the exam and my visa went from trainee to working visa. This year will be my 4th year here in Japan and I am interested in migrating to Canada under student visa through Practical nursing course. Its the easiest but expensive way to get there. Is it possible to cross country from Jp to Canada or do I have to go back to PH if Im going to apply, I would also like to sponsor my wife and go together, please help me.

Why do a LPN course if you are already a RN with BSN? There are several ways to get PR in Canada. Have you checked the CIC website? What province are you looking at?

PN course through student visa because I would like to migrate and work to Canada the easiest way for me. I also have my own reasons, I would also like to experience being a student in Canada. I love working in nursing homes just like my job now, Since my nursing knowledge was 7 years ago i need to update it again and would like to start from zero, even my english grammar goes horrible because of the intense japanese language training i had.. forgive me huhuhu

You do realise there is no guarantee you can immigrate to Canada after being a student and you have to convince the immigration officer you plan to leave after you finish your study?

To be eligible to study in Canada

You must have been accepted by a school, college, university or other educational institution in Canada.

You must prove that you have enough money to pay for your:

tuition fees

living expenses for yourself and any family members who come with you to Canada and

return transportation for yourself and any family members who come with you to Canada.

You must be a law-abiding citizen with no criminal record and not be a risk to the security of Canada. You may have to provide a police certificate.

You must be in good health and willing to complete a medical examination, if necessary.

You must satisfy an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your authorized stay.

i know its a risk but im planning to take post graduation work permit and canadian experience class after graduation. Stay in Canada after graduation

Do you realize that the post graduation work permit is only as long as the program you complete? If you do an RPN program for 2 years you will only get a work permit valid for 2 years.Then you will have to return home.

hi loriangel, are you a nurse in ontario? my brother, mother and twin niece is also from ontario oakville. while taking post graduation work permit ill be able to get 12 months working experience and use it to apply for canada experience class to change my temporary resident to permanent resident visa.
