SF Examiner article - MD thinks NPs as "paraprofessionals" threatens pt safety!

Hi NPs and NP students,

This article from San Francisco Examiner sickens me in the stomach and disgusted by the lack of evidence and research behind this article. The author calls NP/advance practice nurses as "paraprofessionals". This is complete subject junk and I don't understand how this kind of rubbish can be published. If you have a strong feeling like I do, please show support by leaving comments at the end of the article.

You have to consider the source - this MD offers no factual proof of any of this information which he purports to be true.

Interchanging "allied healthcare personnel" and "paraprofessional" lead me to believe English isn't his native language.

He is the one who needs education.
