Just looking for some advice regarding which program to choose. Looking for people who are either currently in the program or went through it! Just curious to see how you all liked it! Nothing getting advice from people who have been through it themselves! Thank you!

Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of NNPs on this board, I only know of 1-2 others and they don't post regularly. I did talk to the director at Creighton when I applied a few years ago (chose another school), and it seemed pretty good.

I'm in Creighton's NNP program right now - seems pretty good although I have nothing to compare it to. The only thing I wish I'd prepared for is that the program is "across the lifespan" which is great for the Family Practice people but really difficult for people like me who has been in a specialized area (NICU) for 15 years.

I learned that you pretty much can't escape "across the lifespan" because it's a requirement of many states (if not all?) that you have a patho class across the lifespan in order to get licensed. I asked the same question of my own program.

Yes, the accreditation body changed it around 5 years ago. I seriously don't understand - I feel like I'm spinning my wheels when I could learn things that apply to neonates. I try to tell myself that maybe the moms will have these diagnoses and it's good for me.
