Just curious how many of you wear scrubs vs casual clothes to your school. The other nurses in my district wear casual clothes at their schools. I am a new nurse to the district and I feel like wearing scrubs would be a little more appropriate as I deal with the special ed population and a lot spitting, drooling, etc.,
Thanks

I would probably wear scrubs if I was a school nurse and if it was up to me. It's way easier and you don't run the risk of messing up nice clothes. The only time I've ever seen a school nurse wear regular clothes was when they were also a teacher, not just the school nurse alone.

Scrubs for me, except on Friday's. Then it's jeans and some kind of tee shirt with the school logo or a nurse type thing on it. Some days everything must go straight to the wash after work, today is starting to look like one of those days. I also have an extra set of scrubs in my office, including shoes.

Do you wear one of those naughty nurse costumes too??? I like to wear it and then I get sent to my own office to get a PE uniform to change into. :)

I love to wear "my scrubs/PJ's" to school
So do I ask if I can wear them or just come in with them on and see if anyone says anything?! lol

Don't ask....now is the perfect time to show up in scrubs! I don' think anyone who has a TV, computer, smart phone, etc would have the grit to say anything about a nurse wearing scrubs right now - know what I mean??

Don't ask, my philosophy has always been...better to ask forgiveness than permission
Now you're talking!! I wonder if my naughty nurse costume still fits?
