Your MSN in leadership experience

Published

I am an alternate entry applicant with my B.S. in molecular cell biology and physiology, various volunteer experience in different units, a year of experience as an EMT, and have been working in a lab for the past 4 years (and missing patient care like crazy). I initially applied to an NP Program but was offered to move my application to the MSN in leadership path after not getting accepted into the NP track. I have since been accepted for the MSN in leadership. I'm looking to hear from anyone with their MSN in leadership and what their experience has been. Specifically, I'd love to know what career opportunities have been presented to you, what role you ended up taking, pros and cons of your career choice and average starting pay (in Texas).

Congratulations on getting into the MSN leadership program! If you require a bit more information on further career decisions based on completing an MSN feel free to check this AllNurses Article
