I took a home pregnancy test today and after waiting 3 minutes as specified in the instructions, had a (+) result. One line was more faint than the other, but there were definitely 2 lines in the "result window". The instructions stated that (+) results would generally remain visible for about 48 hours after testing. I left the test sitting on the counter and got into the shower. When I was finished about 15 minutes later, the second line in the result window was gone. So what gives? Any input?
I've been on Depo-Provera for the last 6 years, and have no idea how far along I would be if I am actually pregnant. I'm due for my shot in about 2 weeks, and usually have spotting by this time, but have not had any. I took the test because I've had extreme tiredness, frequent urination, and breast tenderness for the last 2 weeks.
One way or the other, I'll be seeing my OB in 2 weeks.

False positives are pretty rare. I'd say take a 2nd test. If it is also +, it's a fair bet that you are preggers.
