I graduated nursing in the Philippines 2005, no hospital work experience, took nclex once last 2008, failed (already know it for I did not really study). Now I'm gonna try to take the exam again. Just dont know where to start studying. I did not study at all (just listen to the lecture and class review) when I was in nursing school and even on my local board, dont know how I passed and become an RN in the Philippines (maybe just luck)... So this is hard for me. I cant seem to concentrate studying, cant even finish a chapter a day.
I work full time night shift. Cant afford to go to a nursing class program. I need to pass this exam this time cause to me it cost a lot and I cant afford another bucks to spend for another exam.
Anyone here who also works night shift full time, how do u manage to study (schedule)? What are the materials do I need? Any studying tips guys?
Thanks!

Have you tried accessing study materials from your local library, its alot cheaper than attending a review class. Also the kaplan Qtrainers are online for free. Also in regards to managing study time, it can be difficult but you have to make a plan that is good for you and stick to it. My study plan consists of two four hour study sessions per day. Its hard but so far so good. Best of luck to you.
