Hello,
I just discovered this forum and I think it's great! I am an inactive RN for the last few years (I was a stay-at-home mom and took some time off) and now I really don't want to go back to bedside nursing, or any other kind, really. I feel that to get back into it at this point after almost 10 years would take a couple of refresher courses, and at age 51, I don't need the stress. However, I do love paperwork and working on the computer so I though medical coding would be just right for me. I took a transcription course last year, so I'm still up on my terminology and feel I probably wouldn't need that much training.
Does anyone know of a medical coding "bootcamp" where I could take just a couple or a few weeks to complete the training? Maybe an online course that would then prepare me to sit for the certification exam?
Any info would be very much appreciated!
Thank you,
