I graduate from nursing school with my BSN this June and will be having a baby in September. Originally I had planned on starting my nursing career asap after graduation but plans have changed a little! I will be staying home with the baby for the first few months. I know new grad jobs are difficult to get and many of the programs I have read about accept new grad nurses only within the first six months of graduation from nursing school. Is it still possible for me to have a nursing career if I do not start within the first six months after my graduation?
