Working as NP vs RN in Hawaii

Published

Hi all,

I am an Nurse Practitioner, seven years experience as a RN and two years experience as NP. My husband is looking at a possible position in Honolulu, and he can find out his salary right away, but anything I see posted for NPs does not list salary and require a Hawaiian RN and APRN license just to apply. I have been able to see posting for RN positions ranging from 50-85/hr. My question is, would it be more financially feasible to work as a RN or NP in Honolulu. Only on the island of Oahu too, as my husband would have a 30 minute response time so we would have to live within 30 minute drive from hospital

I would suggest that you post this to the AllNurses Hawaii page. You might get some responses from people in-the-know there.
