Working gap

I have a friend, His two coe has 2 yrs working gap, because he went to abroad at that time and then came back to Philippines. He was hired here in the Philippines to work in the KSA as RT. When he started doing his data flow so he can take his prometric exam, Mumaris asked him to submit coe from his working gap. He didn't work at that time but he is presently working as RT now for 3 years .What is the best thing to do about it? Can we submit explanation letter to them that he didn't work for 2 years or it can just affect his application? Thanks in advance for your advice
