Working during FNP program

Is it necessary, in your opinion, to be working a nursing job while working in your NP? I have a job managing an ABA clinic part time so there wouldn’t be a gap on my resume. But I’m wondering if it’s a disservice to myself to not work an actual RN position and if that will affect employment as a NP when the time comes. What are your thoughts?
