Working with a bachelors degree and up

I've done some research, and read through the older threads, so I have some ideas about what working psych can be like. I've also had the opprotunity to observe a few shifts in the hospital inpatient unit. What I'm curious, is what kind of career opprotunities are there outside of working a hospital inpatient unit, assuming you have a bachelors degree? I know you can obviously get your NP specializing in psych, but what else can you do?

I originally thought I was going to go outside nursing and get my Masters in counseling. But after doing a lot of research and reading through the threads here I am rethinking that plan. It just doesn't seem smart to take the time and money to get a Masters to make the same or less than I make now. I'm still working on my Bachelors but am just trying to develop some sort of plan for the future. I work ICU right now, I am waiting for a position to open up with my hospital system to make the switch to psych. I don't think I really want to do my NP as I know it is primarily medication management. Which really just doesn't interest me that much. I'm not against working in a nursing aspect, I am just not enjoying the path I am on now, working ICU. I originally planned to do psych, but wanted to get a medical foundation first.
