Your best bet is to contact the program(s) you're interested in--- some schools accept PRN experience
HOWEVER--
It's great you've got 6 years under your belt, that's very competitive- but one other thing to consider-- and ask about when contacting schools or researching them-- is do they consider PICU Experience?
Many programs do not count PICU towards the experience required for CRNA School admissions-- it sounds like your MICU experience was before your 4 years in PICU-- if so, *some* schools may not consider your ICU experience "current" enough or at all.
If a school was on the fence about accepting PRN status (especially when they have ample amounts of applicants who are current/full time in the ICU), your 6 years' ICU experience leading up to PRN may come into consideration, so knowing how they view that experience will be very important.
I hope that makes sense! I don't want to make you feel hesitant or nervous to pursue CRNA as you 100% can do it-- I'm just painting a realistic picture of what you should consider before accepting a blanket answer to your post-- CRNA School research is incredibly important and not all schools will consider the same experiences and qualifications (you'll notice some will even say "on a case by case basis" which is a huge flag saying you should contact them BEFORE applying and assuming you'll meet the requirements)

Hello! I have 6 years ICU experience and almost 9 years experience as a nurse. 2 years in MICU and 4 years in PICU and for the most recent 3 years PACU. I have decided to apply for CRNA school. Can I stay at my PACU job and go PRN ICU to qualify or do I need to switch to full time ICU? Thanks in advance.
