Words of encouragement

Words of encouragment.

To some of us nursing school is our whole entire life. It's what will make us whole in the end.

Visioning becoming a real nurse is something we think about before we even get accepted into nursing school and when we finally get in and do something wrong, we wrack our brains because we get so worried about not making it through.

The suspense of not knowing what's going to happen the next day is really stressful. Not knowing how you are going to handle a certain situation can be mind-boggling.

We plan on becoming a nurse and we don't realize how hard nursing school actually is and how tough you really have to be to get through it.

We get stressed out over tests and worry until we end up with a headache the night before our competencies.

Stress is definitely one thing that every single person on this board has in common.

Being anxious was probably one thing that all of us experienced the night before our first clinical.

It's just something we have all been through.

I just wanted to tell everyone--for whatever reason you went to school to be a nurse--don't forget about your life.

Nursing is a career...A very important career, but it's only a career. I'm not trying to downgrade nursing at all. But if you get into nursing school and start to feel discouraged and start to feel like it's not for u, then do what's best for u. Just because u didn't make it through or feel as though u could be doing better doesn't make u any less of a person. Don't ever let ANYTHING do that too u.

Yeah, u might've put a LOT of money into nursing school, but there are other things out there.

Life is too short to ALWAYS be worried all the time.

You never know when it's your turn to go, so enjoy life to the fullest and dont' let NURSING SCHOOL bring u down.

GOOD LUCK!:wink2:

Thanks. I just finished the 3rd of the 4 tests I have this week and had a low point yesterday when I found out what my grade was in one of the tests. Nice encouraging words from somebody who knows what's it like is always helpful. Thing is, i can afford to dwell on something that didn't go the way i wanted because there's more issues to deal with. one step at a time.
