WINTER 2020 - Douglas College Intake

Anyone get in for Winter 2020? I got waitlisted today. I finished in May of 2019 with a 3.2 gpa : (

Hey sorry Im still trying to get the certificate done and was curious how much time you guys think the waitlist is for approx years?

The wait for Douglas is usually 2-2.5 years after you finish your pre-reqs. OP will probably get in Fall of 2021 or thereabouts.

I had a 3.92 GPA and finished August 2017, and I start my program Fall 2019.

@Pcmama I made a typo. I finished in May 2018 and not 2019. Kind of crazy you had a 3.92 and still had to wait 2 years. I'm just working now while waiting. Do you have any suggestions on how I can prepare before I eventually get accepted?

@roseypoo I worked too. I work on a Redevelopment Project at one of the local hospitals which is a great way to make contacts while you are waiting. Other than making sure all your vaccinations are up to date there isn’t much else you can do. You will need your first aid/CPR HCP but because they expire it’s better to do it closer to starting.

I got waitlisted for Winter 2020 as well, but I'm starting to lose hope now ? Did you end up hearing back from them? Also does anybody know how long the waitlist is even?
