Willing to be interviewed for DNP school?

Hello! My name is Erin. I'm a DNP student at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I'm taking a course called Advanced Nursing Role Acquisition this semester that requires us to interview an APRN that we are not related to, friends with, or colleagues with (which really narrows down the pool!). I was wondering if someone would be willing to answer some APRN related questions online. I understand this is totally random and that you are all likely very busy, but I would very much appreciate it! Please let me know if you would be able to help. Thank you for your time!

Here are the questions:

1) From which school did you get your DNP, PHD, or masters? What year did you begin? What year did you graduate? What did you think about the program and its curriculum? What did you feel was missing? What did you feel was spot-on? Briefly discuss your pharmacology preparation. Briefly discuss your physical assessment preparation. Briefly discuss your pathophysiology preparation.

2) How does the APRN Consensus Model guide your practice? Do you feel that the laws in your state allow the greatest number of people to access healthcare? If not, what do you feel could be done differently?

3) What are some of the competencies required for your work? Can you discuss an example of something you were prepared, trained, and competent to do but were not allowed to perform?

4) How do you collaborate with others in your role (Other nurses and/or other disciplines)? What strategies do you use to promote effective collaboration? What do you feel are barriers to collaboration you have seen? Were you able to overcome them? If not, please discuss why you think this was. If so, please discuss how you overcame them.

5) Please describe how you transitioned from student to the role you are in now. What are some challenges you encountered? What advice do you wish you would have had? What kind of stressors did you experience in your role transition? What coping strategies have you found helpful? What advice would you give someone about to transition from student into your role?
