Im a senior in high school in NJ. I took the SAT's twice and my results were this
1st time
Critical Reading: 420
Math: 420
Writing: 420
2nd time
Critical Reading: 440
Math: 400
So I got a 1260 out of 2400 both my times I took them
So taking the highest scores I have a 1280 SAT score.
My GPA is 3.3 out of 4 and im rank 70 out of 165.
I want to get into William Paterson University because I heard of the good nursing program. But in order to get into the Nursing program there you have to have a minimum requirement of SAT 1050..and you have to break the score of 500 on math and verbal reading. and you need to be top 25% of class which im not. THis is what it states on the WPUNJ website::
Students are required to have a minimum SAT score of 1050 (with a minimum verbal/critical reading score of 500) or equivalent ACT scores; and rank in the top 25 percent of their class. If the high school does not rank, overall GPA and course selection will be substituted.
So if you dont meet those requirements, you could be accepted into the university but just not into the nursing program. Meaning you go into WPUNJ as undecided and do all your regular majors and apply later on. I dont want to do that, I want to be accepted into the nursing program but it seems my chances are slim. Unless there is a way to get into the nursing program by other things.
I dont know what to do..
any advice?
