William Paterson University RN to BSN - ONLINE

Updated:   Published

I was accepted to William Paterson's RN to BSN online program. Looking for feedback good or bad from anyone that attended/graduated from this program.

- Is this program doable to complete in 12 months like it advertises?

- I know a semester is 7 weeks long. Can you take more than 1 class during that time?

- How many classes did you take each semester?

- Are classes difficult? I did the LPN to RN route and was always told that's the hard part. BSN is easy.

Thanks in advance!

You're welcome! 🙂 There are no clinical/practical hours in the RN to BSN program. It is 100% online. If I remember correctly, the first two semesters had a class with group projects (I hated them LOL). The classes mostly consist of weekly discussions where you post a discussion, and you have to respond to at least 2 classmates each week. My Healthcare Economics class also had discussions as well as 2 open book exams and 2 homework quizzes. My Advanced Patho class was not open book and we use lockdown browser with a webcam. (Apparently it used to be open book, I'm not sure if it's changed as a whole or if it's just my Professor but I'm assuming it's overall.). Patho consists of weekly discussion boards and 3 exams each worth 20% of your grade. It goes by pretty quickly so make sure to stay on top of your assignments!

Oh wow, that is not bad at all. A little afraid of exams, still have post nursing school anxiety. I am going to assume patho will be difficult and prepare myself. I want to thank you so much for answering my questions.  Discussion boards seems verrrry doable.

How did you survive this class? I'm about to start Advanced Patho next week, and I'm nervous. Do you have any tips? Were you able to read all those chapters in one week?
