will a misdemeanor prevent me from being able to sit for the nclex?

Published

About four years ago i was charged with possession and paraphernalia. The ironic thing is, that i really hardly ever smoked pot. Could this stop me from being able to take the NCLEX, anyone out there with a personal experience? any input is appreciated.

8 years ago I was charged with possession of marijuana and was charged with a felony. I received deferred adjudication and completed 5yrs probation and as a result, I was not convicted. However, I still had to report this to the BRN explain the circumstances and what I have done to insure that I would not reoffend, letters of referrals ect. That was the first and only time that I ever broke the law. I pass through enforcement and took my NCLEX today. Hope this helps.:)

I am in a similar situation now. Could you please share with me what exactly you wrote in your letter to the board? Thanks so much! :)
