3.3 GPA from undergrad (university of virginia)

4.0 GPA in pre-reqs so far only have 2 done, in the process of completing the rest...but jefferson won't see the grades until after they decide on acceptance.

WHAT ARE MY CHANCES???

please help!! :(

Im in the program now and many of my classmates didnt have enough prereqs completed when they applied so they put them on a waiting list. Odds are they wont officially accept you until they get more of the grades in.

Hi,

I just applied for Prelicensure BSN too. I think Nursing CAS is taking so long. I wonder if I have any chances too. I have 40 credits worth of prerequisites with 4.0 GPA. However, I took A&P 4 years ago at another college and I got F because I never completed it. Does anyone has more info about what they are looking for.

How was the interview? I heard that that was very important as well.

Thanks

i have no personal experience applying (yet) so take this for what it's worth, lol! I've heard that they will not offer acceptance until all pre-req grades are in. If your pre-req grades that are finished and on the app are high enough, they'll waitlist you until the remaining grades are in. If the pre-req grades submitted with the app aren't high enough, then they won't even bother to waitlist, just reject outright. If your second go at A+P is in that 4.0 with the 40 credits, then I'd think that the first try wouldn't matter because they'll only look at the most recent (high) grade.

I hope you are right thanks for the information.

Any suggestions on what to write for admissions essay?

I spoke with a girl that got accepted to Jefferson and she recommended the essay to be connected with some personal experience. For example: her mom got really sick and that made her choose this career. Something like this. Good luck

Hi, did you get your gpa calculated from nursing cas? Mine is taking so long. I applied middle Sep and still no answer.

NursingCAS still hasn't figured out my GPA either. What is up with them?!

Barbiemafia, I got my gpa calculated today, finally. I called nursing CAS 3 days ago and they told me that they give out gpa results every 15th and 30th of the month. So look up around those days.

Good luck

Does anyone know how much the Undergrad gpa is weighted in the application? I have a 3.1 with a BS Biology and a 3.5 cumilative. But I still need to take the GRE. Is there any way to get admission stats?
