will getting my lpn help?

I'm thinking about getting my lpn and then going back aftern i get a job and getting my rn. Is it worth it and will it help get me into an rn program?

It really on the school your attending aand where u live. I'm doing the same. My school is 11 months long. We get to take a test and gets the credits for those classes. So when I graduate iI.will be able to work as a lpn while going back to school and my first year of sschool I will already have the credits for. A lot of.people tell me lpn is not worth it but in my eyes working as a lpn while going to school for.4 years for my RN is worth it. I can't afford school for 4 years without good money!! So.make sure u choose a.good.school!

Hi... it all depends on where you live and the programs available to you in your area - as well as your own, personal and family needs.

For me, getting my LPN and then working through an RN-BSN bridge (where my work hours will count as my clinical hours) is the most prudent course of action.

My LPN program will basically count as my first year of the RN program; then, I will have 30 hours of theory classes to complete (after prerequisites).

Because of the way my tribe's scholarship program is designed, almost all of my expenses will be covered in this scenario.

Everyone's situation is different. I strongly encourage you to research, research, research programs in your area - and don't get sidetracked by for-profit school marketing. Talk to every program.

Everyone's situation is different. I'm doing the LPN route because it's better for myself and my family. Plus my LPN program is around 6k, which saves me some money.
