Why are you a rehab nurse? (brain, spinal cord injuries, etc)

Hey - I'm a senior nursing student thinking of rehab nursing (spinal cord and brain injuries, strokes, etc) when I graduate. What advice would other rehab nurses give me. How do you like your jobs? What's your patient to nurse ratios, etc. etc.
