Hi I'm planning to move to Tx soon and was wondering why it's so difficult to find a job there. I've been looking for so long and it's like it would kill someone to give me a response or a call back!!!! Can someone answer me this? Why also is it hard to get into a hospital type position? I've been a CNA for five years you would think that would do some good for experience.

I am having the very same problem I keep applying everywhere and have not had any luck thus far. I was also a CNA before i graduated. Its very frustrating knowing and seeing all of the positions available in the Dallas,Tx area and not getting anyone to follow-up with you. Ughh! They want you to have at least a year experience but how is that possible when your a new graduate.

Gelly do you have acute experience or LTC? Most hospitals where CNA's are saturated require 1 year "acute" care experience. I hear many CA nurses (and assistants I'm sure) moved to TX to find jobs.
And as for following up I feel your pain. Most employers won't call because of the many applicants. Let's not give up though! Think positive.
