Just want a good talk story session on why you chose primary care vs acute care and vice versa. In this case, you don't necessarily have to be an ACNP to be considered working in acute care (FNPs in ED, etc). Pros and cons of each?

I chose FNP because in my state FNPs can work as acute NPs provided the employer trains NPs with acute skills, which they do. I have worked with FNPs in ER, as hospitalist, as palliative hospice, as outpatient etc. I think FNP are more marketable because they can see pt. from birth to death.
If for some reason, I dont like inpatient then I can switch to primary care .
