Hi guys! I am on a committee to revamp our white boards in the patients rooms, and was hoping to get ideas from some experienced nurses out there on what you like/dislike about the ones in your facility. We are strictly antenatal through delivery, occasionally postpartum if there are no beds available on that floor. I've seen one board with diagrams and explanations of cervical change and effacement, and while the cervix diagram seemed acceptable, effacement was thought to be too much by other nurses on the unit. I kind of liked it, but I'm a part of a team! Any help would be appreciated. I'd love to see photos of your boards if you can post them. Thanks in advance!

I would love it if we had something about effacement!! Every time I have a conversation with someone about it, it's like a lightbulb goes on.
Things we have posted in various places around our unit and rooms: domestic violence screening information and contact numbers (small cards to take home), posters explaining positions to stimulate a slow labour, importance of skin to skin and early Breastfeeding.
