My goal is to become an RN, but since i come from a family of nurses, I've been told to first do my LVN and then to go for my RN just to get some experience.
Lets say if I have all my pre requisites classes for my RN after completion of my LVN, would I be eligible to go and take the Board exam for RN?

No you have to graduate from an accredited program to take the NCLEX. Having the prereqs are just a formality. You have to have the nursing courses in order to take the NCLEX.
