Which Nursing Degree is Ideal for a Lawyer?

Nurses Career Support

Published

I am thinking of getting a degree in nursing to expand upon my legal career. I know there is a huge demand for nurses but is there any demand for nurses with JD's? Ideally I'd like a hybrid job that would allow me to use both degrees. Would an associates degree be sufficient or should I go for the BA? I'm at a loss for research and I don't know any nurses. If anyone has any experience or could point me in the right direction I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks.

There are nurses who work as legal consultants... They usually require quite a bit of nursing experience and usually a BSN, but that's a way to use both aspects, as long as you are willing to get the experience. You already have the legal aspect, so it would be a smooth transition once you get there.

What type of work do you actually want to do with that combination? The answer to that question would determine which degree would be the best for you.
